LED wall tools

How much power does an LED wall need, and how many circuits?

At full white an indoor LED wall draws about 48–56 W per square foot (520–600 W/m²), and 34–50% of that on typical video. Size circuits for the maximum: a 20 A, 120 V circuit may carry 1,920 W continuously (the NEC 80% rule), about 34–40 sq ft of wall. A 16 × 9 ft P2.5 wall draws up to 6,500 W, 54.2 A at 120 V, on 5 circuits.

Watts and weights are the medians of the 59 cabinets in PixelBid's library (Absen, Gloshine, INFiLED, Leyard, Unilumin datasheets); P6 and coarser are outdoor panels. Circuits load each breaker to 80% (NEC 210.20(A)) and are counted from the power runs as drawn, so a wall can need one more than its area divides into. Your cabinet's own datasheet beats a median: the full calculator takes it.
