What viewing distance does each LED pixel pitch need?
Sit at least 1 metre back for every millimetre of pitch, about 3.3 feet. The best seats are at 2 times that, and from 3.44 times the pixels disappear: a P2.6 wall needs 8.5 ft, looks best from 17.1 ft and is seamless from 29.4 ft.

Minimum is 1 m per mm of pitch, the manufacturers' baseline; recommended is 2×, where the trade puts the best seat; the last column is 3.44×, where one pixel is one arcminute, the limit of 20/20 vision. Rental pitches are their real values: P2.6 is 500 mm over 192 pixels, 2.604 mm. Every distance is a floor: a seat further back is never too far, it just sees less detail.
